WRITING IS WHAT I DO.Hello!
Since the 6th grade, I have loved writing. What happened in the 6th grade to inspire me on such a path? My Language Arts teacher did! She pulled me aside one day and commended me on a potential talent she saw in my daily work. So, I began to scribble all of my fantastical ideas in whatever notebooks I could get my hands on. Mainly poetry. Then, one boring summer afternoon, my frustrated mother shoved a box of books into my hands and begged me to leave her be! I must confess, I WAS being a bit of a pest that day. I was thirteen. Anyways, back to the box. Inside, I found a treasure trove of GREAT LITERARY WORKS! Harlequins! Yep, tons of them. Too young for such filth, you say? Never! I read every single one of them and that is the year I found the genre that would further fuel my growing desire to write. Romance! When I was in 9th grade, there was this amazing history teacher who used to bring his daughter's toys into class to use as visual aids during his lectures. I will forever remember that class. For it was there, sitting in the third row, that my love for history grew, heartbeat by heartbeat. A new genre emerged in my little head that year. Historical Romance! And that is what I write my friends. Historical Romances. I love to read them. I love to write them. I love to research them. Now if only I could be confident enough to publish them! Sigh... I dabble in Steampunk and Paranormal, as well. But the setting is always historical and the plot always orbits about a budding romance. I write every day. For myself. If I one day publish, great! If not, that is okay, too. I do it for me, myself, and I. Writing makes me happy. I hope that whatever you find on this website will brighten your day just a little, too. |
